Description

The AVPro Edge AC-MXNET-10G-TCVR is a single-SKU, dual-use AV-over-IP transceiver that works as either an encoder or a decoder, selected from the front panel.

It is the most versatile component of the MXnet 10G SDVoE ecosystem, serving as both the gateway where a source enters the system and the destination where it arrives. Since, the same unit does both jobs, stocking and planning are simpler.

Reach is long. It runs up to 100 meters on a single Cat 6a cable (55 meters on Cat 6), and up to 18.6 miles on single-mode fiber through industry-standard SFP+ modules. System size is limited only by the number of available switch ports.

Video quality is the headline: zero frame latency, zero artifacts and zero compression up to 4K30 4:4:4 8-bit, and HDMI 4K60 4:4:4 8-bit with 100 microseconds of frame latency. 4K60 4:2:2 10-bit and 4K60 4:2:0 12-bit travel visually lossless with a pixel-perfect light compression of 1.3:1. Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and IMAX Enhanced are supported.

Genlock mode synchronizes decoder output with encoder input and holds latency to a maximum of 0.1 ms, which is equal to a traditional matrix switch for live performance, medical or content mastering uses.

When scaling is not bypassed, switching still takes just one to two frames, about 17-34 milliseconds. Use it with the 10G MXnet switches such as the AC-MXNET-10G-SW12C, AC-MXNET-10G-SW24Q or AC-MXNET-10G-SW48Q. For lower-bandwidth systems, the MXnet 1G encoder and decoder may suit.
