Description
The FSR RFL-QAV-SLCLY is a larger-format raised access floor box built for rooms that need real capacity for AV and power connectivity in one enclosure instead of a compact box that fills up after a couple of devices.
The "3+1" configuration gives installers three standard gang openings plus one additional gang compartment. This is a layout commonly used to keep AC power physically separated from low-voltage AV and data connections within the same box. This is a practical, code-conscious way to organize a busy floor connection point without running two separate boxes.
Like the rest of FSR's RFL-AV series, the box is built with extra interior clearance behind the connector plates. This helps to provide installers room for bulkier interfaces, connectors, and the larger cable bend radii needed compared to standard electrical wiring.
This particular unit ships with a solid cover rather than a carpet-door cover, making it the right choice for non-carpeted floor finishes tile, stone, polished concrete, or similar hard flooring where a carpet-inset lid wouldn't have anything to blend into.
The cover and trim are finished in Clay, one of FSR's standard color options alongside gray and black. This gives integrators the ability to match the box to warmer flooring or trim palettes commonly found in museums, churches, and similar institutional spaces. Which happens to be better than defaulting to a neutral gray or black box.
Construction and Specifications
Built from 14-gauge steel at a 4.5" depth, the RFL-QAV-SLCLY includes an oversized cable door opening and FSR's standard mounting clamp system. This can be adjusted to accommodate a range of floor thicknesses for a secure, non-shifting installation.
Multiple knockout sizes across the body support various AC and low-voltage cable entries. The unit is UL listed to meet US and Canadian safety standards and is suited to office buildings, conference centers, museums, schools, and other general meeting facilities with raised floor infrastructure.
