Description
The AVPro Edge AC-MXNET-1G-D is the original MXnet 1G decoder and receiver, the point in an AV-over-IP system where the signal comes in. Connect it to any HDMI display and it converts the incoming IP stream back into picture and sound. It then easily plugs into the network over Cat 5e or better, or over fiber, and works with the AC-MXNET-SW48 or any compatible multicast-capable managed Layer 3 switch.
It decodes a full 4K 4:2:0 30Hz HDMI signal along with audio, control and power, routed from one encoder through multicast with next to zero latency. JPEG 2000 compression keeps images visually lossless and supports Genlock, so decoders on a video wall stay frame-synced and tear-free. For 4K60 4:4:4 you need the Evolution II AC-MXNET-1G-DV2 decoder instead.
Setup and day-to-day running are designed to be easy. A mini OLED Data Window shows the IP and MAC address or a custom 12-character name, all unit lights can be switched off for discreet installs. Plus the MXnet Mentor tool configures routing, resolution scaling, EDID management and video walls. RS-232 and IR can be routed directly to the decoder, two USB ports support KVM and peripherals back to a selected host encoder.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the AC-MXNET-1G-D compatible with Evolution II encoders?
No. First-generation and Evolution II devices can sit on the same network, but their AV signals are not interoperable. Use this decoder with first-generation encoders.
What is the maximum resolution?
It decodes 4K 4:2:0 at 30Hz. For 4K60 4:4:4, use the Evolution II decoder.
What cabling does it use?
