AtlasIED SFP-N
Semi-Flush adapter for Voice/Tone loudspeakers
-Jeff A.
Description
The AtlasIED SFP-N is a semi-flush mounting adapter built to install AtlasIED's VT Series voice/tone loudspeakers cleanly into an existing recessed electrical outlet box. It mounts behind the VT speaker and covers a standard recessed 4" square x 1½" deep outlet box, giving installers a finished, flush-looking transition between the wall and the speaker rather than a visible mounting gap.
That makes a SFP-N a practical retrofit solution, when a building already has 4" square boxes in place, from a previous device, a new rough-in, or standard electrical infrastructure. This adapter lets a VT Series speaker mount directly to that existing box without additional bracketry or wall modification.
VT Series speakers are life-safety and industrial signaling devices, used for voice and tone emergency communications in public spaces, plants, and other heavy-duty environments where high output and clear intelligibility matter under stress.
They're available in 8-ohm, 70.7V, and 25V configurations depending on the distribution system they're tied into. Their housings are die-cast and water-sealed to hold up against vandalism, moisture, corrosion, and vibration in demanding installation environments.
The SFP-N itself doesn't add electrical function, it's a mechanical mounting accessory, but it's a required or recommended component wherever a VT speaker needs to sit over a recessed box rather than mount to open wall or a different backbox style.
Construction and Specifications
The plate is a stamped, painted cold-rolled steel wall plate finished in a neutral gray that blends with typical wall colors, measuring 6" square by just 7/32" deep. So it adds minimal depth behind the speaker.
At half a pound, it's a light, low-cost accessory rather than a structural mounting system, it's backed by AtlasIED's 60-month warranty. Plus it carries TAA compliance for government and institutional procurement projects.
