Description
The KD-IP120TX from Key Digital is an HDMI over IP Transmitter. This transmitter was designed to be utilized as a way to build an entire IP video infrastructure using IP video components. Using this device within the Key Digital ecosystem enables up to 1024 transmitters to be connected with unlimited receivers operating on the same network. Thus enabling a great degree of scalability, depending on the size of the users or clients integration system requirements. This system works by HD video being transmitted from the HDMI input on the receiver over Ethernet at 15Mbps for high-quality video streaming. These signals can be reliably sent up to 400' using CAT5e/6 UTP/STP cable, and since the entire system exists on a network, every component can be configured and controlled over an intuitive software interface or with the free Key Digital iOS app. Alternative Extension Methods can be enabled by low-bandwidth data streaming technology, a Wifi Extender for 100' extensions, or IP over coaxial for up to 1000' signal extension ranges, but at a much lower bandwidth. For larger video installations, multiple units can be mounted in a rack using optional (not included) rack hardware (shelf-mounting hardware is included).
Control of this system can be achieved via UDP and web browser control through PC or Control system via Compass Control MC gateway. It is both Key Digital app ready and Compass Control ready and is fully controllable by RS-232 supported control systems via open API.
