Description
Introducing the Hall Research VSA-51-R VSA Receiver, IP Based Access, 5 Modular Input Room Controller with greater switching capacity of digital and analog audio/video sources. It provides up to 5 Cat5 inputs, as well as VGA, Composite, and HDMI outputs. Amplified audio output for direct connection to 8ohm speakers with 50 Watts maximum output power in addition to line audio output. A separate mic input is provided that is mixed with selected input audio. Communication is provided via a single RJ-45 connection to the User Interface Keypad (VSA-UI-DP). An IR emitter cable can be connected by way of 3.5mm port. There is also a RJ-45 10/100 Ethernet connection to plug this system into a LAN. Two contact closure outputs are included for controlling lights or screens.
It is an integrated solution that gives the user audio amplification, keypad control, video over Cat5 Switching, as well as contact closure. The user can connect this receiver to the router to control it from an iPhone, an iPad or any other tablet. The receiver is the central component of the VSA-51. It handles all switching and hosts the web-based software that runs the system. Input plates and User Interface panels connect directly to and receive power from the receiver. All user controls and source inputs are modular and connect to it by way of Cat5 cabling.
This unit offers IP-based access, control and configuration. Any and all control and configuration is embedded within the receiver and served over HTTP to a browser, allowing access and control from a Mac, PC, tablet, or smart phone. This device can control on a primary display as well as a secondary serially controlled device, two discreet outputs, and unlimited IP devices. Advanced control is provided via custom programmable serial strings allowing the user to control by way of RS-232, IR, or IP. The software includes features such as theft detection with notification, embedded device control, task scheduling and automation.
