Description
The Altinex RT300-101 is a retractable HDMI cable with an integrated ShareTime button designed for full size Altinex Cable Nooks or the smaller sized Cable Nook Jr models. The retractor attaches to the sold separately AC200-125 for full size Cable Nooks, or the sold separately AC221-125 for the Cable Nook Jr units. The full size Cable Nook can hold 2 brackets, each bracket can hold 2 retractors for a total of 4. The smaller Cable Nook Jr models can hold 2 brackets, each bracket can hold 2 retractors for a total of 2.
The ShareTime button works by plugging the cable directly into any CEC TV or a CEC switcher such as the Altinex UT100-041. At your table users simple plug the ShareTime connector into the HDMI port of their laptop, on the connector is a button. When it is their turn to present they simply press the button, the switcher or TV will recognize the button press and switch to their screen on the TV quickly. You can now easily share multiple inputs at your table on a single display at an affordable price, installation is plug and play.
If your TV has integrated CEC it will also power on and off the TV. When the ShareTime button has been pressed it will turn on the TV and go directly to that input. When the last ShareTime cable has been disconnected it will then power off the TV after a pre-configured set time.
The cable pulls out up to 4' and can stop and any length under that, when you are done pull on the cable and hold it while it retracts back into Cable Nook. The fixed pigtail coming out of the back of the retractor is 4' long with a male end. The unit has an integrated 1080P amplifier so it can always output a clear signal. The retractors have a 3 year warranty and have been tested to over 10,000 pulls and retractions.
